As a new player it gets me excited to see an active And fun LS. I figured I would bother you all here first before doing any application.
Oh yeah, I'm a new player on Mysidia looking for an active LS and "mid-core" describes me perfectly. If you're still recruiting I'd like to talk about joining. In game name is Rhen Zenji. I'll fill out an app if you want.
Sounds great! Feel free to look at our Guild Creed and read it over, it will give you a feeling for what we are like.
Our site: www.seraphim-ff.com
We are mid-core, laid back and like to have fun and we think of each other as a family. Only thing we really take serious is the application, so please take time in filling it out! :)
If ya have any question just ask, and good luck to you! :D
I have absolutely no qualms about doing the app. As soon as I get off tomorrow I'll get right on it.
ooOoooooOoOOo another newb to torment...erm i mean to welcome with open arms with an app ^_^
If I wasn't so intrigued I would be scared.
You are too kind. If you heard some of the riské talk that goes on in voice-chat, you might get scared. :) Sweedish Hip-hop warps your soul!!
We're certainly not full yet thanks to reforming our shell (would really like some Linskshell tools SE!!), but we discovered in our most recent break that we have a lot of active members, which means it won't be long until we can't accept more nice people. I'll be sad when that day happens and we're forced to turn a good person away, but happy as it means FFXIV is growing in size.
Ah yes, those Sweds are pretty cra-I mean, great people. Absouletly great. Good candy and...snow? Um...very healthy and fit people.
*Clears throat*
Anyways, I was thinking about the linkshell system in FF14 a few weeks ago and kind of thought about what would happen when a linkshell reached full capacity (with all active members). Why not just create another branch of you LS? You may not be able to use the same LS chat (as far as I know) with both linkshells, but you guys can still use um...Mumble? That's what you guys use, right? But yeah, that could be a viable option for you guys. Create a branch of your LS so you can still recruit members and make one of your officers the leader of that; or something.
you forgot the meatballs!!! the meatballzzzzzzzQuote:

Prox has friends?
I'm currently on Gyshal, but I'm looking to switch Worlds once I find a good Linkshell. Are there a lot of active people in this shell?
Yes we're definitely active. We're nearing capacity though, and are currently looking to see if it is worth it for us to do a shell reform for the 4th time. Our active member list is quite high currently. Just throwing that out there, as re-rolling can be a big deal if you have invested a lot of time and we might at capacity when you apply.
Well, I'm looking to start up on a different World anyway. I can't for the life of me find anyone to party up with or any active Linkshells. I think it's partly my timezone(US central/eastern) because there's not a lot of activity in the evenings after work but there's a lot more people on in the mornings on the weekend. It kind of seems like where I'm at on Gyshal is mostly people from around the Japan and Australia timezones. Even if I'm unable to get into the Shell, how is Mysidia for players at peak times for Canada and the US?
Its not bad, we do have a high JP presence which from my experiences are on at all time of the days. We have a few large NA shells as well. like most servers Uldah is the spot of most activity, with most everyone doing their leves in the Thanalan area. Most groups do leve canceling to maximize sp gain. Feel free to apply if you are interested even if you haven't started on Mysidia yet, doesn't hurt to get a foot in the door, keep in mind a good app will get you a long way.
Look at you, with your hair all hangin' out and everything ;)
At capacity yet? I'm trying to find a server that has enough active players. Besaid is dead outside of peak hours, and Selbina seems to be nothing more than an AFK farm.
we are getting very close but are discussing our options
Here's an easy solution: Gather all of your linkshell members in the middle of the desert, split them up into two even teams and then have them broadway fight.
*Starts singing* You're gonna get it, yeah! *pose*
By a little bit, you mean like 20 slots, and people seem to be returning after 1.18
Update on Seraphim!
Since 1.18 we've bee busy tackling the R45+ Dungeon, like everyone else. How Seraphim does it differently:
We're not only about clearing the boss. We've been experimenting inside the dungeon, to see what makes things tick. Perhaps killing the Ogre, then getting mission complete for other members, or maybe just treasure hunting.
Archers are not the only way to go!
We're also busy working killing the evil Batraal, only with more mixed setups. A good tank, a couple mages, an archer or two, and... MELEE classes.
Having members who worked hard to get to Rank 50, we don't want to leave them in the dust. We're busy testing strategies, and trying to find what works. Yes we've had members succeed with an Archer/Mage build, but we want to give everyone the chance at success. We believe SE didn't just make a dungeon that only archers and mages can beat. We know it's possible, and we've come very close.
How many EU peeps you got?
I can think of about 20 off the top of my head, that includes our little family Swiss circle of friends that are all completely crazy. In a good way though ;)
We also have council on EU playtimes. We're a good mix.
Then I may drop off an application in the near future. :D
I love this LS <3 So far sense joining this LS has brought me much more addicted to this game than I have in the past and has brought with it the feel I originally had with Final Fantasy XI back in 2003 when I started.. and was addicted for 4+ Straight years... thanks V.V
lol <3
Hey everyone, we regret to announce that we have decided to stop accepting new member applications. As much as we would love to continue recruiting and growing the ranks of the Seraphim, we are unable to continue to do so due to LS size restrictions. We are literally unable to give out more pearls for the linkshell. Seraphim and its members have always maintained a reputation of being friendly and helpful, and this will not change. We look forward to adventuring with you all under the Eorzean skies.
Regards,
Seraphim Council
Oh no, it's finally happened! I've run out of cinammon toast crunch!...oh, and Seraphim is full (of pretty cool people; well, the people I've come into contact with at least.) What's the member cap anyway? I totally forgot. Was it territory taking numbers or world domination nuimbers?
I'm, uh, doing research...No I'm not a cop!
Wow, that's a lot of people.
*Shows number to a man in a suit*
Man in suit: *mumble mumble*
insaneshadow: Hehehe totally. Bunnies man.
Oh...you're still reading this ._.
We don't read, we absorb text like Materia. And we have horse-bird races on Sundays ;)
Yeah we tried to prolong the recruitment cap as long as we could. With people returning on 1.18, and the fresh interest in the game in general, we had no choice. Kind of sucks, there's more cool people we don't have shells for!
Absorb text? That can't be healthy. Do you know how much sodium texts have?
Um...*Counts his fingers but then gives up and holds up his hands* This many.
Maybe the whole companies thing will allow multiple linkshells to come together...unless that's already a thing, and if it is, ignore that first part!
But yeah, my idea with that is have one of your members create another linkshell so that can become some sort of sub-division of your linkshell. That way you can still kind of accept more members in a weird loop-hole kind of way.
And then...um, there can be some sort of battle royale between the best members of those linkshells. But then, splinter groups in the sub-division linkshell work with splinter groups in Seraphim which causes like, some huge shadow war thing to seize power from the heads of the linkshell. But, the old guard stay loyal and rally under the true banner of Seraphim and plan a counter attack against the new guards who call themselves the "Twin Plains Syndicate" because it sounds pretty cool. However, a third group rises out of the chaos and call themselves "The Followers of the Green Star".
At first this group leans towards the "Twin Plains Syndicate" and helps them in some of the attacks, but it turns out they just wanted to get close enough to them in order to give Seraphim info on what was going on. In the end, Seraphim wins and recovers back to it's full strength; the "Twin Plains Syndicate" are chased off to the borders of Ul'dah to plan their revenge and Micheal Bay uses the events for Transformers 4 Fistful of Robots, which would most likely suck.
