There's a two fold issue:
1.) There isn't a reason to repeat some content... ever (Primal Normals, Guildhests, Story 4 mans (until vanity slots come out)).
2.) People who do re-run content (CMSR) want people more geared than the initial run of the content so they can get it done quicker.

It's a shiny band-aid that doesn't solve either issue entirely. It throws an arbitrary prize to one person... potentially.

It's a system that doesn't give you a clear progression path. Do this and people might like you and you might get a prize.

It's a passive aggressive award system.

All that being said... I'll wait and see.

Endgame content gets you endgame gear.
PvP content gets you PvP gear.

So now you're going to argue semantics? It's quite clear I simply meant MVP "stuff". And PvP "gear" is a collectible just like a mount or companion gear. Many people don't use it for PvP, but just for their vanity tab.
MVP content should get you MVP items. That's it. If you want the MVP pony, then queue with randoms and hope they like you. If you want to collect something, then you need to do the thing required for you to collect it. I hated competing for Emperor in Dunes, but I did it because I liked the reward. I dislike PvP in most fantasy MMOs, but I do it if I like the look of the gear.

So you're honestly telling me that you'd rather not have had competing for Valkurm Emperor as an enjoyable experience as well? Or that if you wanted to obtain PvP gear, you'd rather not have had that as an enjoyable experience?
