Don't know how it'll work for Garuda and Titan HM since I'm not feeling ready to take them on but in Ifrit HM I always pop Thrill of Battle and Foresight when he's casting Hellfire. I usually emerge with about 3.9k HP (only 5.4k max HP in Defiance, not too well geared yet) whereas everyone else has maybe 1.5k or something around there.
Seems like a good combo for big hitting attacks that I felt like sharing in case someone found it useful :)

"WAR is less Survivable"
Most of the time I'm LAST person to die. Just this morning, I had to survive and finish the fights three times because I was carrying two newer people who could not put out DPS and stay alive at the same time. Thank the Lord my WHM held out long enough so I could at least finish the fights, but on the very last battle even the WHM ended up eating dirt and I had to solo the last 10%. -

Yeah I think the entire community is wrong. Judging from a lot of mistakes that I've personally made, and the amount of time I've needed to spend with this job to learn it and I'm just now figuring a lot of things out, I don't think people have done enough research.
What's worse, prevailing attitudes are now hampering my research. I have a generally poor view of the community in this regard. -

Sure you can deck yourself out in gear that has crit and STR out the butthole but what's to stop a PLD from doing the same? You said yourself with all your fancy new gear that you crit a substantial amount of time because of that your Inner Beasts are keeping you alive, but a PLD can wear the exact same gear you are wearing (barring relic which PLDs is arguably better). Your Inner Beast has the same potency as PLDs Spirit's Within and both can crit. A PLD doesn't lose survivability when he uses his move either and it's not on GCD so he can let it fly whenever he wants.Quote:

You've been wrong so many times on this little adventure in warriordom. Now you're just blaming the fact that no one will take you as a warrior on people complaining when in fact chances are they already tried a warrior and found out it is simply not worth taking.
The issue isn't whether warriors can theoretically do things under ideal circumstances, but whether it's ever worth taking a Warrior over a Paladin. Yes, warriors are able to do Coil up to add tanking in turn 4. But it requires that they have more gear, and more importantly, are carried by better geared healers and modified raid strategies in order to make up for the severe Warrior shortcomings.
At first you thought hitting the magic #8000 hp was going to make Warriors the best tank ever. Then you tried every way possible to improve your Inner Beast damage. Now I don't even know what you're on, but I know your gear is not Binding Coil viable given you're 70 Accuracy under the hit cap.
But your claim that the entire community is wrong and the implication that you are simply better than all of them is pretty laughable. -

Posting tooltips and correcting people's incorrect understanding of how certain abilities work is useful at times. However, you don't play the job at all. You've never posted any videos. And yet you dare to criticize the fact that I post Garuda and not Coil?
You haven't toyed with builds. You haven't tried different stat allocations. You have not tried.
Therefore you have no place to criticize me for what I've tried, what I've posted and what I've put out there. You can laugh all you want, but while you're laughing you are doing absolutely 0 with WAR.
Thanks to my efforts, I know 10x more about WAR than anyone else on this forum. And I will continue to gain in knowlege about WAR and when WAR is back in favor, which it should be now if people's ignorance weren't hampering the progress, then I will be miles and miles ahead of you.
