Gold Spammers are ruining FF14

I was reporting every single one, but of late it is just too much to keep up with. Stopping what I am doing every 4-5 minutes to fill out a report kind of ruins my fun quickly. So I started using a macro until the right-click-report is implemented:

/blist add <r>

Will blacklist the last person who sent a tell to you. A friend shared this with me. Works great.

Not only are they taking up space on servers but space of people who would actually play and not sit in a Hub and spam the same bs for hours on end...sadly RMT's come with a MMO.

Gil sellers/ spammers are part of SE MMOs, take it like a man, SE wont do anything about them they never did, they never do, do, do do

I wouldn't say they're ruining the game, just the chat box.

Ya this weekend was horrible, it's getting worse, not better. It really upset me when I was trying to actually talk to someone in the game this weekend, but my alt+r was full of spammers, so I had to keep toggling through garbage just to get to the real people I was trying to chat with. Worst part is, that the same people spamming on Sat. were also spamming on Sun. Really SE? you clearly aren't banning these people in real time.

I know in FFXI it got really bad, and the economy got inflated, then they started doing mass bans, and gil removal, so I'm holding out hope that this will be their strategy, but it can't come soon enough, it's really affecting the game NOW.

You are wrong. They are ruining the game for me. I don't like to be harassed constantly by /shout, /tell, /say, and /yell gil seller spam.

I have had to turn off all those chats, which makes communicating with other players impossible.

I stopped reporting them, since I have over 85 on my blist and more pop up everyday, and only 2-3 were (deleted).

I cancelled my sub, because a company that ALLOWS its players to be harassed is either in with the RMT's or just DON'T CARE. Either way, they don't deserve my support. (I am legacy player and have all Dow/DoM to 50 and was working on getting my crafting/gathering to 50)

Guess you didn't play XI then. SE combated RMT HARD, to the point where they were completely gone. Also, i'm not sure if any other servers had this. But there was a specific group of RMT on Alexander and they were the COOLEST people. They actually talked to you like a normal human being with an RMT flair of course.. People would run Kirins and sky farm with them.. Incredibly efficient. They'd also give a sweet discount on items if you helped them farm. Was fun!

Don't buy gil, easy as that.

Seriously, I hope anyone buying gil gets banned and has to spend more $$$, re level everything, and gets banned again and again and again. Let the ban bat rain down on all the RMT, no mercy.
