My Epic attempt to get an Ifrit Sword - ongoing -

At 24 kills, saw one sword drop but lost the roll.

Sorry to hear that, I got mine after my 10th attempt. but another member of my FC said he done Ifrit 40 times before his fist weapons dropped. I hope you get it though, good luck.

Sword, Sword, Claws. Third attempt and won. (Monks are apparently rare.) This is followed by Cudgel, Book, Bow, Spear(?), Claws again, Cane. WHM in FC rolls need, loses to other WHM in party. Three attempts later, Cane drops again, WHM accidentally passes. Two drops later, I get Cudgel for a class that's not 50 again. Cane drops again, we make sure WHM rolls need this time. Succeeds. In runs where a Bard FCer was one, Bow never dropped. Bard isn't there, Bow dropped. We have two Dragoons, and the Spear has dropped while they're there as Dragoon ... once? but lost.

RNG is a fickle mistress.

My sister is on a run a few days ago, and the Horn drops.

Got my lance on 70th attempt.

I think I saw the sword twice or thrice.

lol I ran it 36 times for the sword, it dropped twice needless to say i didnt win the first time around.

Your epic list is only compiled of 5 runs ?
Try 60 garudas and not even see'ing the sword drop, then come back, k pumpkin

Did a silly amount of runs I got 4 ifrit weapons for other jobs before getting mine.

The ifrit weapon is more or less unnecessary. GC weapon or DL weapon from WP are both sufficient 'till you get your garuda weapon. This is especially true if you're a tank. If you were a damage dealer, it may have been a different story.

Why are people even bothering with Ifrit weapons ? Just do Garuda you can do that fight easily with a GC weapon.
