Latency question

Any news about this? I'm playing on Cerberus EU and lag is very bad. I pass the last 3 days trying to do Titan normal, for story, and is impossible to do it with lag, he keep throwing all the people out.

If that is all there is to the story (and I'm sure there is more to the story), then the number of players on the server is directly proportional to the amount of lag. This means it is not a network problem, but rather a server problem (well, at least the network outside of the SE Datacenter Building).

If that is the case, this is squarely (like that?) SE's issue.

Half the time my summoned choco is standing in a city on my local map, just hangin'. While on the global map I can see he is following me, just invisible. I even get heals like I'm supposed to. It's just that I cannot see him because my client thinks he stopped off for a snack.

I have attributed this to lag or latency or my ISP. The more I read on this subject, I find it is SE's issue.

Completely correct, tho to fix it Square would require financial investment to provide their client base with a better experience which imo is why we have the situation we see currently.

Yeah I can't kill Titan hard mode at all because of this shit, I'm almost tempted to buy a run because if I did kill it I'd just be getting carried anyway. Getting hit by spells that have animations you're not standing in is frustrating to the point where I just don't want to play the game anymore. I can't even go to AK to cap Mythology tomes because I'd be a deadweight in those groups too...

Pinging the EU server gives me 40ms but playing on Odin is a complete lag-fest. Like everybody else I had problems when the game launched. Then I had one or two days with some 90k errors and extreme lag but it got settled...until Saturday night. Since then I've had increasing lag (my guess is up to 2500ms) each evening I play.

It's ruining the game for me, I hope it's fixable
