Oh and aslo gfx on a pc which make the ps3 version look rather bland lol
I have played both and still do since you are able to continue with your characters from pc to ps3 and vise versa. I do however prefer PC. You have better graphics and way better controls and I do use my ps3 controller when playing on the pc.
And the heat issue... Its annoying when that ps3 fan kicks in, I hate it.
I own both versions, but prefer the PS3 one. Playing FFXIV on big TV like a boss. :)
Depends on your preference, I guess...
Do you regularly use your PC for gaming? Obviously don't go for the PC version if your PC isn't very good... you may run into problems that you otherwise would not if you got the PS3 version... or if you don't even enjoy playing video games on the PC.
I have the PC version simply because I prefer playing games on the PC no matter what. I have a modern rig, so I can run things just fine. Plus the graphics are just excellent.
I'm considering getting the PS3 version, though. That way I can play while laying in bed
I own the PS3 version, and having played multiple mmo's on the PC, I can say I prefer the PS3 version better. I find it a lot easier to play full 3D games like this with a controller (I keep a keyboard hooked up as well), it just feels like it makes gameplay a lot smoother to me. I don't really nitpick over picture quality of minor details like customization for features I rarely look at, so I'm content with my current version. :)
If your PC is good enough to run it at high to max settings then PC. If not PS3, either way you're going to enjoy the game.
I have and played both an honestly it's whatever system you get used to playing first. Graphics are amazing on PC but pretty good on PS3. I might gather or craft in PC but muscle memory has taken over and I cannot do any sort of DoW/DoM on PC. Love the PS3
Please. The PS3 has the same chance of "yloding" as a PC. The RROD debacle was from a different universe, a 30-50% failure rate. One of the largest causes of PS3 failing (less than 10% anyway) were the chinese BR lens frying. Nothing to do with overheating.
I'd say that any PS3 owner planning to buy the PS4 can easily buy the PS3 version. Especially true if one owns just a modest PC. The lack of keyboard can be bothersome. And the targeting must be all reconfigured, SE simply made a mess.
Depends on your hardware. Personally, it was a choice of playing on either a medium spec laptop, or the PS3.
It was a pretty easy decision for me to make. The free PS4 upgrade is sweet bonus.
1. Almost the same customization options are avialable on both.
3. I have so far 6 PS3s of various models and none of them havea single issues to run 24/7 for weeks straight.
4. There indeed screenshots on PS3 as well - jsut hit L1+Start or the same keyboard key as on PC.
Your 2 gills are worh nothing if you're trying to comment on things you apparently have a minimum knowledge of saddly ...
