Regarding Gear checks

These are considered acceptable baseline loadouts to prevent yourself from being a burden on the group. I'm not saying that these loadouts are absolutely necessary to complete the dungeon, but they should be considered as guidelines for those wondering if they are geared enough for each instance.

Lmao what? You don't need DL+WP gear to do AK. Can be done in AF with GC weapon.

It's only 1 run. Back when everyone is new people did AK with 3-4 undergeared people. AK is tuned towards fresh 50s with blue quest gear (not fate grinders with lvl 5 whites or people in full darklight). I remember when I first got in there it was actually a challenge. I couldn't get hit by anything I wasn't supposed to or mess up my combos. Pretty much right when I got the 55 green wep from grand company and had the experience of a run, it became fairly easy. There is nothing wrong with being below the gear curve if you are still geared enough to do it with 4 people of your gear level.

AK = af gear + lvl 49 spiritbondable accessories + ilvl 46 gc weapon except for dps which may need a better weapon.

HM titan = almost full darklight for tank, dl pieces worth about 2.5k tomes for dps and dl pieces worth about 1.8k tomes for healer, filled up with ilvl 60 ak gear. Ifrit weapon at least.

Pretty much this. Lol @ people who think you need darklight for AK.

Ok, take a group of 4 wearing nothing but AF gear and lvl 49 weapons / jewelry and go to AK. LOL @ people who think they won't be DPS/heal checked by Demon Wall if they dont at least have some DL or WP gear in their group.

I think he meant DL weapon for AK, which drop from WP.

But AF + one of the HQ base relic weapons (the HQ of the ones you have to double meld) should be enough.

I have, many times during headstart. Maybe not that exact gear, but they were fresh 50's more or less who got the quest after AV. Was it harder? Hell yes, but it wasn't undoable. It's this elitist 'must have this gear to enter' crowd that gives the impression that you need a bunch of DL for AK. Weapon I will grant you, but even then, ilvl 55 GC weapon is more then enough for Demon Wall. I mainly heal & keep an eye out on parser. You either need to screw up your rotation or fail horribly in another way to not have the DPS check there. I primarily do AK with newbies and DF as well.

I did AK as a fresh 50 because I did several runs of WP and didn't get crap and got angry. I finished AK with no problem despite the fact I was new to the dungeon as was the rest of my group and I was the party healer. It's laughable people think you DL for everything. Is it nice to have for WP and AK? Hell yes! Is it necessary? No.

AK with AF1 + GC weapon is doable but it just takes longer to clear the trash. If you are going with friends then it is ok. Farm AK till you get DL/Ak armour then go for garuda.
