What's the most optimal party setup for Titan HM?

PLD, WHM, SCH, (MNK or DRG) BRD, BRD, BLM, (BLM or SMN).

just got my first titan win with MNK/BRD/BRD/SMN/SMN/WHM/SCH/PLD

feels good

1 tank
1 melee DPS
3 or 4 ranged dps
2 or 3 healers

People will fight all day whether 2 or 3 healers is better. It depends on your capabailities. 3 healers makes it easier to survive and makes it more possible to continue on if you lose one of them. But you will also take longer and be subject to larger tumult sequences. 5 DPS will end the fight faster but staying alive in the final phase is a bit harder.

pld,sch,whm,brd,brd,brd,brd,drg/mnk

um ive beaten titan quite a few times with pld whm sch drg drg brd blm/smn blm/smn you dont need to stack classes/jobs to win i have never had more then 1 brd in my pt at any given time just need good players who know how to dodge.
i have dealt with class stacking in 1.0 not going to deal with it here thus im not gearing blm or brd for me atm i either go drg or not at all lol

Optimal is relative in titan. As long as everyone knows what to do any setup can do it.

I found the setup wasn't important. We killed Titan with two pal tanks without build any lb bar. The most important is don't invite people who is easy make mistake for that fight. that is mean they are not qualified and they need more practisce before join a serous group. healers are key for this fight. Titan qualified healer isn't easy to find.

yeah, in my experience you can't go wrong with the 3 healer set up ( all WHMs or 2WHMs + 1SCH )... of course you'll have to make it up by having some REALLY good DDs to get him down at heart...especially if he traps one in second rock, but after that, it's cake... dodge, dodge, dodge!! ^^

it's sad when people would only take melee dps for their lb. ;_; i'm really thankful to my fc they bring me along their titan fights as a mnk.
