This. Yeah, FATEs are overpowered and should be brought down to the level of other leveling content, but the game is full of options. Complaining about them makes no sense. You can quest, do dungeons, and even farm mobs if you dont like FATEs. Hell, dont like any of them and want to play another class? Alts are allowed too! There is really no reason to complain about FATEs not being fun. Players like them, I do (in moderation), if you dont... do something else.

Game is designed for casual game players. They can log on run some fates get a few levels and feel like they've done something. That's what 1-50 is all about, logging in and progressing. You choose how fast you want to do it, don't like fates? Go do leves and get back to me when you aren't leveling as fast as your buddies.

Every leveling option in this game is incredibly boring. I would like to be able to spam bosses 1-50 to level up, lower level versions of every boss in the game I can exp off of for huge exp, comparable to fates. THAT would be fun, challenging, teach me to play my class, and make me a good player by 50. Make them scale to my parties average level or higher level player in my party and let them be a gauntlet, something like legion and mercenaries mode from RE5/6(aka horde mode) of never ending bosses.

Seriously? They've spent the bulk of the last few weeks focusing on getting the servers stable and yet somehow you're annoyed they didn't swiftly fix the issue that you personally have issue with? It must be their fault for trying to allow as many people to play the game as possible instead of making you and you alone as happy as can be. This whole request was framed in an incredibly selfish and childish way and is distracting to the real conversation about balancing the game.

Right, because I'm the only person that dislikes using an aoe macro from 1-50.

Oh no, getting the servers stable was more important but the way they're silent now about a very common topic just illustrates that this is the same way they've always addressed things "blah blah blah, we can't hear youuuuu"

If FATEs are horrible and everything else is even more boring, then its time to evaluate the game for you? I have no problem if FATE exp gets nerfed. Is that going to solve the issues for you?

I am usually quite harsh on SE about the many mistakes they have made with the development and rollout of this game, but this time I am see why it has taken so long to address this.

FATES are not broken. The number of people doing them are. If you manage to get into one of the fates that doesn't have many people (usually when a FATE pops on one side of the zone and then another clear on the other side) you will see that the amount of time and effort to complete a FATE with 5-10 people versus the reward is reasonable.

The problem is the FATE zerg that runs around finishing FATES in seconds. If you lower the rewards substantially enough to get rid of the zerg, then the reward would be low enough that is wouldn't justify the time to do it with a normal number of people. If you don't lower the reward, then you have the zerg making the content trivial. Quite a catch-22.

The only reason I'm still here is because I know there will be new content patches, and there're still hope for the game. And ppl are asking for a balanced exp reward, meaning nerfing FATEs & buffing other things like leves/instances, or add some new ways to level their alts....

People keep saying there are alternatives.

Where? Dungeons? I'm 35, I've been in a queue on and off for Brayflox, but there's such a diminished pool of tanks willing to tank that place (it's like the first hard dungeon) that my queue is better than a half hour and has been for a few days. I give up by that point and do something else.

I just unlocked Qarn and maybe that will be better. I'll have to go help some friends with Titan first though.

I'm a WHITE MAGE. I can't imagine what dps queue must be like, and to think, those poor fellas need to do it for their story.

Questing? There's enough quests to get you through one job, maybe two if you branch out and do other things.

Mob grinding? Doesn't happen, rewards aren't worthwhile.

Leves? Maybe, but they do kinda suck and they're as bad to repeat as fates for a portion of the reward. On top of that, you're better Leve'ing on a DoH/DoL.

It comes down to Fates and Dungeons if you can actually get into a dungeon.
