I've got a 50 Bard and interested. I also have a lvl50 warrior on another server i'll likely bring over but LOL Warrior atm end game wise. He can probably be easily converted to a Pally though.

Warriors work just fine. IDK what your LOLing at.

We, in fact, have a War in the Core Raid group. We have no problem clearing content.

Warrior just requires a little extra skill from both the warrior and the healers thats all. Still good in the end.
