Not trying to get the game for free. I have the codes.
you can just download the iso on every torrent site. And 100% legit, since you need to buy a valid code, which you have
Wait, what? Microwave? I don't even...
*Takes a moment to ponder that thought*
Did it taste good?
Yes you could, you will also need need a few other things
1. Go to your "My Documents" folder and inside there "My Games" and inside there "FINAL FANTASY XIV", copy this across.
2. You will need to create some registry files which once you've copied the files, open ffxivconfig.exe and change language, hit OK.
Should do it, I did similar to get it on my laptop but I also exported out a bunch of other registries and imported them, you shouldnt need to do this though.
During the Beta period, you were able to download the client via the Beta forum. Unfortunately, they haven't added a Client Download on Lodestone ever since the Beta ended. It's a shame really, because let's say wanted to give away my extra collectors edition key to a friend who lives at the other side of the world. There would be no way to have him borrow my Disc, nor will he have the option to download the client from Lodestone.
I would be happy if SE would add a "Download Client" link on Lodestone for registered users with a key.
You can't buy a game used. The client is separate from the account. I thought this would have been obvious.
What the OP is asking for is perfectly legitimate - he needs to reinstall the client, but has lost the means to do so via DVD.
This is definitely an issue that Square-Enix would need to address somehow, and sending physical copies to users who lost or accidentally destroyed their discs would not be an economical way of doing it.
Just do the digital download provided by Square-Enix. This is 2011 after all..
