What's with all the maintenances?

Explain this - Because judging from the videos I see uploaded it "takes 15 clicks for an ability to fire" is people trying to get it to go off the very second it comes off CD so they're spamming the hell out of the button, I've had no issues with skills not firing hitting it just before it CDs because the game queues a skill 0.5 ahead of CD.

Because the purpose of Beta was to catch and fix bugs and not release a bugged fill game which for the entire early access people could not log in, had multiple maintenances, causing their stores to be shut down as the game was unplayable to the point they stopped selling it.

But that is just me I guess. I have the expectation that I purchase a working product.

You mean that period of time before release most players treated as a demo and not a beta? ^^

OP, if you actually knew the definition of "maintenance" you would not have any need to ask your question

as for what the most recent "maintenance" was for, if you read the Loadstone news, you would already know what is going on

there was an exploit that was happening on the relic bosses hydra and chimera - i would assume they were trying to patch it

I understand where you expect a bunch of bugs to get fixed in a beta, which they did btw. The fact we didn't have the beta people participating made the server loads an underacted issue till early access. If you read the Letters from yoshi you would know this. They get a feed on the right side of the page if you hit forum top. its not rocket science to follow SE on these forums to know what is what.

also a nice piece that they shared regarding maintenance. they have, "as of recently" reached the peak of what they can do to improve server performance, and will be restarting servers early morning on Friday's and at the end of the weekend due to memory degradation of instances on system resources due to the sheer number. these will be rolling restarts and are done to keep the instances fresh for peak hours and the weekend when they expect the highest population.

To the guys talking about off-GCD skills going off...
What happens is that different skills have different 'animation cancel' points, from which from that point on you can cancel the animation into a different ability. Some abilities chain easier (Brutal Swing [MRD's stun] can be nearly instantly cancelled into a GCD move) and some chain harder (Jump has a very long recovery time while you're flipping back to original position that you need to wait for). However, you can in fact use an off-GCD ability midway through the usage of a GCD ability as well as the opposite, you merely need to know what partof the animation can be cancelled

No you don't. I use spirits within all the time in the middle of the RoH animation.

better to have lots of maintenances, then have the severs always crashing and being buggy and full of errors
