List of Antiquated/Awkward Game Mechanics

-Off the GCD abilities aren't actually off the GCD because of animation locks.

If I have a macro that casts Bloodpath, Internal Release, and Berserk (all off the GCD) one press of that macro should instantly activate all three. Instead I spend a good 3-4 seconds spamming the macro button to get all of them up and running.

I know the reason for 90% of these things but if I say it I'll just get flamed into oblivion.

Having to quit a DF queue to do Solo class quests.

- Teleport locations are chosen via an increasingly long list of written names, rather than a visual world map or similar interface
- While selecting a reward for certain quests, the character window is inaccessible so I can't see what I'm currently wearing
- No method for sharing items/gil between alts whatsoever. Want to treat them like they're completely separate? Fine, so why can't I mail them? FFXIV wants to have its cake and eat it too.
- The whole retainers/market board system is truly bizarre.

Most of these are QoL things that will be implemented with upcoming patches. This is thread #12387147823 to point these out, nothing new at all.

Working in software development, I can assure you, the majority of these are tracked and WILL be fixed. Basically issues are either :

-Blocker
-Critical
-Major
-Normal
-Minor

Pretty much everything listed here is either minor or normal. They need to work on more critical issues first. The game is in its first iteration, save for a few critical updates/server stability patches. Be patient, and post these in the QoL thread floating around - the devs are actually looking at that one.

Just put the Withdraw command on a hotbar, it's not that big of a deal, being able to right click it in the party list would be nice, but isn't needed.

When I'm selling a lot of items on the AH I physically write down the name of every item I'm selling and then as I price check write down what I'm going to sell them for. It's much less frustrating than bouncing back and fourth between the market board and the retainer with a few items at a time.

But it's still awful and I shouldn't have to do it. Ideally the retainer and AH should be integrated into one, but at the very least let me price check from the retainer.

It's different in games, if your game has a lot of QoL issues then it makes the game much less enjoyable. These should be fixed ASAP. A lot of them could not possibly take them long anyways.

Raze... you can price check from the retainer. Right click the item to sell and then check the top right of the new box for a small button. That will show you recent transactions involving that item.

You can. When you're listing an item, in the top right area there's an icon that looks like a list which lets you see the same items being sold currently, which likewise has the list icon which lets you see the sale history.

I'm annoyed that I can't summon a minion in a dungeon. I never see this get mentioned.
