? for those looking to play on ps4

You don't need PS+ to use subscription services like Netflix, Crunchyroll, and free to play games etc.
Its all up to Square Enix, devs, an publishers to talk to Sony about having it required or not.

You clearly did not see sonys e3 press conference an many interviews with the pres..it's a choice. The devs say yes or no its not required. That would be stupid if we have to pay $50 a year with a $13 sub a month..nobody would play.

Obviously they were not thinking about money when they reboot FFXIV and porting over to PS4 is free. Plus they have been holding hands with Sony for quite some time they will work it out.
