Also point in balanced stats is to change classes on the fly w/o worrying about gear or stats. Kinda feel bad not every really likes the system. I think its neat.
Kilta you have only a single job on R10... and your physical level is lower than your Job Rank.
Wait till you have marauder to R50 and then want to play mage... You will quickly understand the huge annoyance switching between different classes.
You don't meant to balance stats between a melee and a magic user? Coz then you would not need a point allotment system at all. I would not like to have a gimped melee just so i can also switch to a mage any time i want.
Also you should know that when you use 'reassign' you can only change a limited number of points.
(and you have to reassign the elements too for some reason every time... ergo you press a button a couple hundred times)
At your r10 you might not see the problem yet.
BTW, you are encouraged to switch classes, your physical level should be higher than your job Rank, you know that right?
I don't use mage/conj classes so I wish I could take those points for FIRE/WATER/ETC. and move them over to my MAR/GLD/PUG class or BLKSMTH/ARMR class and level up faster.
I hate it, I would want it gone.
Don't like it. Doesn't suit a system where you can change classes at will.
You'll find this problem magically disappears if you quit trying to treat classes in this game like you do classes in traditional RPGs. They're guidelines, not jobs. The system was never designed with the intention of you being an optimally allocated conjurer, then an optimally allocated gladiator, etc.
Love the system.
When I am on my mele, if crap hits the fan, I can backup heal for a long time because I have a ton of MND.
Without the current system, no way I could do that.
And thats just one example.
I like the point system but maybe they should decrease the points you get but increase the affect each point has.
That and decrease the time to re-allocate your points. 1 hour is a bit much for a system that lets you change jobs on the fly and a game that encourages you to rank up different and maybe all of the jobs.
