Hmm interesting. What happens to you and the wall if use this on Demon Wall as it is about to Repel ?

You're rooted so you don't get knocked back.

Repel is just a DPS race hurdle to keep you from just hammering away at the boss. Me? I Holmgang and Carry On.

Probably not, he resists pretty much everything.

Firs,t you should be able to use it to anchor yourself before a knockback from a boss. Big PvE reason right there. Second, on a boss that fixates or become 'untankable' for a brief time, you can use it to buy a few seconds for your healer/dps to run away. And thirdly, the reason I have a cyber boner for this skill is, holmgang->brutal swing dance on your face mode when PvP comes out. Make it to the enemies healer holmgang them in place and scream BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! or WAAAAAAAAAGH! or FOR THE EMPEROR!

You would definitely have a lot of fans among the Coliseum audience in Ul'dah!
