Ah, could be, but some of my favorite FFXI tracks only mention Uematsu as composer in their metadata.

The best tracks in the game are those rarely heard imo... not a big fan of many of the tracks in the la noscea, thanalan, and the black shroud^^ Coerthas and Mor Dhona on the other hand are really great and suited extremely well... plus some story/quest related/cutscene music is pure... awesome :D
Oh and before I forget there's the norg like music by the norg like town we can't access atm down in mistbeard cove o.< ... one of like the only dungeons WITH music attached to it^^ hehe
i agree OP.
since the alpha i've been wondering up and down if maybe this will ever get changed.
entering a fight in FFXI you were allways pumped (CoP boss music is the best example!), but i think in FFXIV, it's so hasty and not really fitting the fight anymore.
coerthas battle music is the best example, i mean it's a great piece like every other track in FFXIV, but it has more of a boss sound to it, yet you're fighting a squirrel XD.
It wont be changed for the current tracks, but come new expansions it'll probably have new songs then, just like rotz/cop etc did.
It's a good soundtrack but nowhear near as good as FF XI's.
I do not agree at all. Like I've mentioned in other similar threads, XIV's OST is one of my favourites in the series (along with IV, IX and Tactics), but I do agree some of the regular battle themes (IE, anything not played in Coerthas / Mor Dhona and Nail of The Heavens) could've been a little better.
In the end, it's all personal preference. I love this game's music.
With how much work they put into it and it makes you sad? Why not just mute your game settings? I find the "rock" edge to the battle songs to be very good. I enjoy to listen to them. Maybe if people would venture outside of Ul'dah, they'd get a taste of all the music this game has to offer. Not just Ul'dah theme, Ul'dah battle.. and oh crafting. I LIED I HATE THE CRAFTING MUSIC, especially when it keeps cutting in and out
The best battle music in FFXIV is indeed in La Noscea..
