Is it worth spending 10k to respec int->mnd? Scholar

I actually have only done a few runs, and so far the bees spawned 3 or 4 times I think. Might be the party isn't killing him fast enough.. I think I even have some where I didn't even get caught once by purple pool. But thanks for the advice! Well, for seals the only thing I had in mind was the serpent hatchling..

Edit: 8% is actually pretty massive. Will it be nigh impossible to do the higher content had I stayed to my +30 int? What scale of difficulty would it put me in say, 1-10, 1 being negligible heal difference and 10 being impossible to win without. (Looking down the road, stuff like coil of bahamut..)

Yeah your party is likely not killing fast enough. Demon Wall and the subsequent boss are pretty much Gear checks, although Demon Wall is the more obvious one. Your party needs to be on top of dodging the floor traps because believe it or not Cleric Stance DoTs (or in my WHM's case, nuking) right at the start of the fight when there's little reason to heal, really helps out a ton since everything in that fight is based on time rather than the Demon Wall's HP.

Why isn't Scholar Int based healing?? Is that for real?

i would stay as summoner if it's what you plan on playing full time... (not to mention that you won't be able to need on the offensive caster gear in amdapor keep) that 30 int instead of mind is really going to hurt you as a scholar, and i know you won't feel like farming fates to get 10k seals every time you want a faster queue

i split half int half mnd since I switch to smn and acn sometimes. the int doesnt go to waste on sch if you consider that int points are still giving you some gains with ruin+miasma+bio+bio2+energy drain+bane

Why would I want my tanks to be healed by a healer with points in INT?
For any serious fight the healer should Heal, DPSers should DPS and Tanks should Tank. (I know, right?)
Do you think 15 points in Int will help your dots/Ruin hit harder and win the fight?
Any challenging content has no room for gimped specs, IMO.

Simple solution, give both SMN and SCH cleric stance, rather than just SCH. This way you can pump mind, and still be great as SMN if you cross-class up cleric stance.


I'm a bit perplexed why they didn't do this in the first place. Also why SCH only gets leeches at 40, when CNJ gets esuna at like...what, 16? 18? Kinda sucks if you want to queue as heals 30-39. Why didn't they just cross-class esuna to SCH too....I dunno.

I like to play both SMN and SCH(mine are still low level) and the MND bonus of the job crystal in the 30s is enough to carry your healing, but if you went full int to be SMN, you're SCH healing is going to suffer the higher you get. You have to choose, or spend 10k seals every time you want to play the other job, which tbh is a bit ridiculous to ask of someone. Spending them once or twice, sure, but every time you want to switch things up? Sour.

If Scholars' are still contributing their DoTs, I wouldn't say the INT is wasted until Cleric's Stance dancing is involved. And the OP is in a position to pursue Summoner statistically speaking.

TBH look at the duty finder que's some of us like playing both SMN and SCH so why should we need to pick i'm not shore what way i will go but i'm thinking of going 50/50 as well and please you can't tell me 15 points either way is going to make or break healing or dpsing
