We definitely have more "stuff" to do, I am happy about that.
To be honest though, I'm jonesing for some instanced dungeon crawls. Until we get those, it will still feel like something is missing to me.

In short summary and in answer to your question Viion, at post #10, has the count right at 5, +2 forthcoming.
Nah, there's only two types of quests in any MMO. Good and bad.
Having a lot of quest types doesnt mean much when the majority of quest OBJECTIVES are things like:
Kill x amount of y, bookended with text fluff
craft x amount of y,bookended with text fluff
fetch x return to y, text fluff sandwich
So I guess i would call it a record if you ignore all the superficial differences between those quests.
If i were going to group things up i'd go more along the lines of:
Dailies: Regional/crafting/faction leves(i know these arent dailies in the sense that you do one per day but you can only do so many of them at once) and guild tasks
Regular quests: Things you pick up from npcs around town
(Arguably dailies and regular quests are the same thing only one is repeatable)
Public group quests: Behests
Storyline quests: the heavily storyline based cutscene filled stuff
which would leave us about even with most games. Maybe slightly behind guild wars I remember them having a lot of different quest/mission types.
edit: actually we're missing dungeon runs which would put us behind
