It's about the music...

Soken has done a fantastic job with the new OST, and what tracks have returned from 1.0 are equally astounding, although I'd still like to hear some of my so-far missing 1.0 favourites like Piece of Mind (the Path Companion selection track), The Seventh Gate (instanced battle theme that usually played in instanced battles in outside areas), and of course, original zone themes like Navigator's Glory and On Windy Meadows. Still, I'm loving the new soundtrack anyway. :)

I love the FF14 soundtrack! I want to own the OST already the music is so fitting for the game and I feel it respects Nobuo's classics, :3

I definitely agree, the OST for this game is totally fantastic!

They did a great job matching the music to each area to bring out the perfect feelings. I havent felt so many emotions since i listened to music from Chrono Cross. I am dying for an offical soundtrack to be released!!

This. It's not FF without great music

Final Fantasy OSTs are always to a high standard, but ARR smashes that standard out of the park. I'm in love with this game's soundtrack.

Most MMOs I play, I tend to listen to my own music, yet in ARR it feels almost disrespectful if I listen to something other than the soundtrack. Wonderfully crafted!

I love the new OST (although I still miss the old black brush theme :( ).

Only problem here is the long and inconstant " quite" period between loops and transitions. I much rather have it the same way as in 1.0. I started a post about it a while ago to maybe get SE's attention:

I'm so glad other people appreciate how amazing this gem is! I can't stop listening to it, it's my favorite ARR track so far. It makes me wish I was playing in an orchestra again and that we could play this.
