Damage, or deaths despite being out of circles/cones/etc?

After being with the issue since release because of the overseas server. I have myself learned to adapt to the latency, to account for it when an AOE goes off. But most of the time this cannot be helped with half a second AOEs like some bosses do and you just have to face the consequences.

Regardless of however decent your ISP/connection quality is (mine is around 70-80Mbps down) the problem wont be solved unless SE invests in giving the EU continent its own Data center.

My cousin plays with me and he has top of the line internet at 150Mbps but still has massive latency and only 2/4 signal bars on the "world status" in the top right corner of the screen.

I'm not very confident in PvP and hardcore instances if the EU has to compensate at the expense of improbable effort/gameplay for lag.

Don't react to the appearance of the red area, but rather react to the appearance of the name of the move when it appears in the enemy target bar (when he begins to cast it). I've notice the red area tends to appear 1-2 seconds after it starts casting, but this is possibly due to latency.

It is lantency for sure , i have ->CRAP<- internet connection/speed so otften happens that i out of red "Area" , even see have it depop already when i out of red area 1~2 sec and it about 80% of time hits me anyways . Connection speed 2mb shared on 2 PC and Tv D;

yea this has happened to me a few times but i realized that if you are in the the area of the attack like 1 or 2 seconds before the animation for it starts you will still get hit, so basically as soon as you see the AoE indicator, move out of it as soon as possible. works everytime for me now.

For Elusive Jump, it might also be that the client doesn't send your new location to the server until after you've landed (for varying values of "after").

the spell is casted before the red even disappears. so the solution is just react faster really...

I've noticed jumping will not always get you out in time. Its quicker just to run outa the circle.Try that.

From my experiance you have to be completely out of the red before it disappears and not rely on the cast animation. However... I do still get hit by some attacks even after leaving the circle way before it disappears. It is very frustrating. What is even more frustrating is this was an issue in 1.0, and they spoke heavily about how it was one of the major issues then and that it was a high priority to fix. While it works a lot better than it used to it is still broken imo.
