Hey, thanks for all the reply's, however I think allot of people have missed the point.
It has nothing to do with "Grouping" as the problem, but the "WAITING" to group.
Since, for those of you who remember when you levelled your first character, certain things are not even possible until you progress through the Story Line, affectively making my character stuck in a gimped state. (for example, still cannot hire a retainer at level 21)
I would love for the ENTIRE Story line to be GROUP... but only if I did not have to wait hours...
And think about this.... eventually the buzz of this latest release will die down.. and then what... new players / alts will have to wait even longer just to complete the level 20 Story Line; as everyone else is busy farming end-game content...
Anyway... guess it is what is, so I will make 17x level 20 classes on my char :)
And as for what game I played which doesn't force me to group... amm ALL OF THEM!
EQ2, WoW, SW:TOR, AION, AOC, RIFT just to name a few...
Got to max level, completed ALL STORY / LORE based quests SOLO, and then happily farmed End-Game content... IN A GROUP :P

Instead of waiting on the duty finder try finding a group on your own server. You might find it is much faster than waiting in a queue. Or even join a guild, questing LS group, or make some friends in game. If you are dps it is highly beneficial to befriend a tank, healer, or even both.
I don't think the problem is that players are forced to do group content to progress in the story. I think the problem lies in the fact that dungeons are not a viable source of exp, and there is no value in the gear inside the early dungeons. The real problem is that there is no replay value in the instances so ppl only do them once and never go back. This is a huge problem that I believe will make instance story quests even more frustrating in the future.
Join a helpful Free Company on your server. Whenever I need a duty group, I just ask my guild and I get an instant group...no waiting. This is a social game...socialize. :)
I see you play in Odin. If you're stuck in the dungeon I do not care to do them again. /tell me in game and we can group. I play tank and can get a healer and other in my FC. ^^
Find a tank or healer, and group up with them. Usually you either get 5-6 minute queue or insta queue. I always help anyone who needs an extra run as well, because the bosses are fun.. I play scholar

When I had to make sastasha I waited for 2-3 hours
I asked on the chat, nothing, I asked on the free company, nothing , and this was on behemoth (this server is locked for character creation since launch week)
As he said, I got nothing against grouping, but if such tactic brings a halt to my fun or even make me stressed then I will condemn it
Been stuck with stone vigil for 4 days now, well maybe 2 and a half. Power interruptions. Ugh.
options is never a bad thing, its upto people if they wish to group up to level with, i did this with wow and was a blast, but do i think the option if people want to do stuff in their own time is wrong? hell no, people play mmos as they wish to play a game and be immersed in its world, forcing their hand is never good, you cant force people, nor should any one force your self, options is always good.
