The way I think they should deal with it is to just chat ban their accounts that way you can't spam shout say or yell that way SE gets their sub fee and they can't really talk >_>

One trick / workaround is to highlight the spammer's name in the chat log, select tell and then change the /tell Spammer Name to /blist add "Spammer Name" and - it's done (don't forget to remove the space after the name added by the tell command). I have almost 30 blacklisted and reported but everyday theres a few more. Just as im typing this I just had my 3rd of the day & I have only been logged in 40mins max

Well - you still have 170 slots to go before the list gets full and then you can start delete it from the top hoping those account have been already banned and crashed ...

Even if it was as easy as clicking on a name that wouldn't be easy enough.

1) the spammers are so prolific all I see is a never ending scrolling wall of text, no names. I'd have to make my chat log bigger, just to see the spammer to report ><
2) On PS3 I don't even know how to bring up a cursor or "click"
3) I don't want to want to participate in negihbrohood watch, I want the police to do it

My black list is 10 X my friend list. I pay no attention to the spam box anymore. This does not make a good community :(

I'm not really bothered about the reporting bit but having to memorize the name (which is almost impossible at times) before opening 2 menus, adding to blacklist..It's ridiculous. Total nightmare on the PS3.

Last night i started a new character on a new world and the chat was spammed instantly with a wall of non stop text. I had no idea it was possible or them to set up a macro that would keep shouting over and over. That should be fixed. It was impossible to stop it as none of the posters names were found on the character list. how is that possible? one of them showed up in the live chat later on and i was able to black list the monster but i HATE these abusers with a passion and hope they are banned forever eternity. And it is IMPOSSIBLE to highlight the chat to copy a name i tried over and over, nothing would work.. I reported the names but there were also websites and so these jerks are setting up virtual shops online to exploit the game. I wont post any of the names or websites in the bug report and i dont have four hours to wait to talk "live" via chat with support. Hope this gets fixed soon.
