Relic Reborn Instance Battles Should be DF

The reason it's not on DF is precisely because it's more difficult. Yoshi stated the DF is only for convenience for the less difficult content. The more difficult content requires skill, coordination and planning that you simply aren't going to get out of a PUG. If you think it's bad you're failing with manually made groups, it would be 10 times worse if you tried doing it with a PUG.

The biggest issue right now is simply the lack of players at the stage where they need to be doing Hydra. If you're on a new server and you're doing Hydra, you're one of maybe 10% of the server that is at that level. It's a little better if you're on a Legacy server. And even if they opened it up to the DF, the queues would still be quite long for anyone but tanks and healers.

It's better they keep the difficult content off DF until the first level expansion.

Getting relic in ARR is so easy now compare to what it was in 1.0. Having only 2 battle out of 6 outside of DF is great. Make friends, join a LS and a FC is not that hard, after all is a MMO.

then why are they nerfing 24 man raids so they can put them into the duty finder?
on the positive side i agree with this the fact every single other instance in the game can be done through duty finder and these 2 cant is just dumb. even hard mode primals are in duty finder...

I'm in a FC that's showing over 400 active members on Lodestone - even with that sort of company finding seven other players with the right jobs that all happen to be free at the same time as I am is difficult (and that's just to *try* the instance, never mind practise enough to succeed at it).

Anyone remember a time when people formed groups, or "linkshells" where people attended events to help each other out even when some of the attendees didn't need/want the event?

Now it seems people expect SE to create a community for them.

Why not schedule it? People used to arrange 15-man HNM runs in V1 all the time (when the HNM were first released, it became 4-man later). In older MMOs 40+ man raids were common. If your FC has 400 members, I think you may need to look again at quality control.

This is so sad.... people nowdays expect to get the most powerful weapon in the game just by signing up in dungeon finder and putting 0 effort to make it, not even creating a party. Just ask SE to give the relic to you for free, not much difference.

Yup, totally no effort. People don't have to still win fights or anything. They just queue up for DF and ~*~poof~*~ it's over. That's why we have so many threads about DF being bad with random players, it just totally hands them victories all the time!

It would be nice if the fights were in DF, for convenience and consistency with the other parts of the quest.

Seriously, it is good that there is some content you need to group up for. You wont get your relic with the Duty Finder anyways since PUGs wont kill Titan.

Seriously... I hate the Duty Finder as much as anyone, I've dubbed it the Stupidity Finder out of spite... I can count the number of times I've enjoyed the parties it's put me in on one hand... One hideously disfigured, blender mutilate hand... But seriously... What is wrong with giving people that option for content? It doesn't make a Relic any easier. Just like with every other piece of grouped content so far, your best bet would still be to form a static and not dunk your brain in acid at the sheer stupidity of random pick up parties... But if someone actively wants to use the Stupidity Finder instead of that? Let them. If they want to kill off brain cells and waste time in such parties, I'm not going to stop them, maybe Yoshida feels he has a moral obligation to stop that, though.

I agree it's good to see content that you need to group up for. However, I think that DF would be a convenient way of filling up slots when you are 6/8 after hours of begging your FC/LSs and shouting in Ul'dah (or wherever people shouts these days)
