Not to mention Yoshi-P got sick, Most likely from the huge travel log he just finished going to all the regions and doing major interviews with multiple Press and Fansites.

I'm sympathetic, I honestly am, but SE is running a business and its falling apart every day they don't change the way they do things. Let me tell you something I absolutely HATE RPGs but I've played every single RPG SE has made since FFX when I fell in love with the FF franchise. I haven't hated a single game but for FFXIV. Anyone here convincing themselves this game is good or going somewhere is sitting on empty promises - this game has already lost. Someone else posted something about competition creeping around the corner, the competition is stiff and it looks good anyway you look at it. FFXIV has failed majorly and that's why I want to know what plans they actually have to spring it back to life and maybe give it the push it needs to a successful PS3 release. I stick around to see where it gets to, but no one should be defending SE because its clear they took every shortcut in the book with this game and tried to do us in by selling us the name....and for the most part they did do us in considering it sold fairly well.
EDIT: let me rephrase that, I hate any RPG that isn't SE or FF. Not one I played gives me the same feeling FF does, at least any FF before FFXIV.
I honestly believe most forumites will only be happy if the game gets cancelled. Just so they can beat their chests and scream I told you so.
The devs don't owe any of us anything. You can scream for more information all you like but at the end of the day - who are you? Why do you think you are so important that your demands should be met.
Stop acting like a child and be patient. If that is too much for you then quit playing and go do something else.
Well it is obvious why there was no letter in March and there has been 2 this month, the last one being only 10 days ago.
This is a better statement and completely warranted. But they can't give too many details for a couple of reasons. One, if things change, people will hold them for it. Two, you just can't have too many cooks in the kitchen. Especially with the creative process. It's better to just post ideas as they come to you. It might inspire them in some way, or it might not.
If you have loved every game except this one, then you know what they are capable of. Anyone can mess up sometime, and we still don't even really know what happened behind the scenes. But their track record should earn them the chance to try again.
hmm, from what i remember...
when he wrote that letter about the easter event, people got up in arms complaining about how 1.17 wasn't going to have content, SE was just sitting on their asses, and SE isnt doing anything to make the game better.
yoshi then had to release another letter explaining himself to us; something no developer has to do. so what do you think hes going to do?
i dont blame him for not releasing more letters. all we do is find something something to complain and whine about. just like we're doing now
And here you're wrong :D
Nobody asked them to build these forums we already had fansite's forums to communicate with each other, these ones are meant to communicate with the devs, nobody obliged them to start this "communication campaign" they did it, they wanted our feedback, they wanted to know what we think, they clearely asked for hour help to make the game better.
Now tell me, how are we supposed to give feedback, opinions, suggestions on something we don't know anything about?
They said they want to communicate with us, now they have to do it.
hey I'm sorry, I donì't want any sympathy from someone I don't know, I'm not gonna be hypocrite, Yoshi-P isn't my brother, my best friend or even my room mate, he's the producer of the game I've been playing for the last 9 months, so I'd like him to talk about the game. >.>
