Maybe the issues isn't something that can't be dealt with so they wanted to play FFXIV to take their mind if it for a few hours now and then.

A few things to try

Cycle the power on both cable modem and wireless router

Open a command prompt and type: ipconfig /flushdns

Disable antivirus and firewall before launching the game

Disable ALL torrent applications on your network

Try connecting directly to your cable modem

If your using wireless, try using an Ethernet connection instead

Change your dns servers to something different tha what they are now, ie 8.8.8.8 (google dns)


I'm not making any assumptions as to what could be your specific issue, rather these suggestions would be a good place to start and help you narrow down what's causing the issue.

So I just got 90000'd during a dungeon like 10 minutes ago, and now I'm stuck on 3102 limbo since then. Ain't that fun!? :D

Seriously, if there's one error that I hate more than 90000 it's 3102. How can I be "still logged into the game" if I've been trying to fucking log in for over 10 minutes? It makes no sense at all...

yeah, I tried to log at a friend's pc who could play his characters fine and still got the error thats why I discarded the possibility of it being my setup.

Funny, even with the dreaded 1017 error ( which has shown less in the evening), that I have never hit a 90000 error... ever.

You do realize that "Error:90000" is just an error code, and that the source of the problem isn't always the same thing right? The error code points the dev's in the direction in where to fix the error.

The Error:90000 code seems to be the error code for a loss of connection to the server. Hell, you can get an Error 90000 just by unplugging your internet or losing connection briefly.

I guess its all SE's fault.

As well, certain ISP's also interact differently with certain ports. Comcast is notorious for this, as well as TimeWarner.
