Hahahahaha. No. Welcome to the new age.
Its a new game not the old game so asking for compensation is kind of dumb if you ask me. Its like saying since I played the entire ffseries plus all spin off I deserve free items. Games don't work that way. Put the same hard work into this game as you did last one and make your new items.
I opened this thread and got smacked in the face with a whole lot of whining. You got enough compensation as 1.0 players as it is, stop finding the need for compensation for everything under the sun. It's 2.0, come to accept that.
Yoshida specifically said he made the game easier from 1 - 50 already. So no compensation for you. Suck it up. Geez.
In short, No, you should not be compensated for your 1.0 Relic.
There's been plenty of MMOs in the past that as years have gone by, certain "status" or "luxury" items/mounts/equips became easier and cheaper to attain. To name, World of Warcraft, which the ARR team took inspiration from, drastically reduced the required gold to purchase Epic mounts, both ground and flying.
Did they hand out gold to those that had originally paid 500g / 5000g for their mounts? Nope.
And you'll find the same case here.
1 seal = 100 tombstones
Current relics require an item that cost 900 tombstones, it seems pretty even to me in that sense. Sure seals took more time to get, but we knew coming in that things were going to be easier.
If you had the best gear in 1.0, why is it so hard to get it again in 2.0? No one I knew complained, we just dug in and grinded content. Same old business.
Whining on these forums is just asking to get flamed.
You got a huge headstart coming into the game as a relic owner, especially if you acquired multiple relics. I'd say that's a good enough reward in itself.
Not sure what to do with this g4 mind materia double-melded Alkaurops. SE, have I wasted my time having made this for relics in 1.0, or can I exchange it for the properly melded madman staff now used in the relic quest?
