The fight has sort of become a watered down mix of the 1.23 Ifrit normal and extreme modes. If anything, the fight isn't all that difficult and you have plenty of time on the clock. Instead of rushing in, make sure everyone in the party is on the same page. An important aspect of the fight was always the dps stack, standing on each other and running away from eruptions all in the same direction. If you think the fight is hard you should look up the 1.23 Ifrit (Extreme) fight that used to be required for the relic quest. No, spend more time researching and learning what you need to do. Not everything is meant to be an instant easy win.

If anything, they should remove the ability to stun Ifrit. Plumes and Eruptions are easily avoidable; fight is just faster stunning. Whole fight is frankly extremely easy in my opinion; with a competent tank / healer and a caster of any quality who knows how to trigger LB on the nails, you could carry a bunch of potatoes wielding controllers through the fight.

I main WAR and I disagree.
Yoshi P says you gotta play this game like Poker, and from my (limited) experience as GLD/PLD, the class represents his point the most.

I had a party that beat him without the use of stuns.
We had a Black Mage nuke the nails to low HP with LB3 then the DPS finished the nails off. With the nails out of the way it was up to the party's ability to dodge attacks which to my surprise was very good. I was lucky enough to run into such a competent/hardcore party.
