that's crazy it's taking them so long... it's just like whoa, what is going on over there. not anticipating so many players is one thing, but being completely unprepared for it is something else.

Unfortunately... There isn't a problem on THE 4th... There is a problem NOW.

Yes. Wednesday is basically what will make-it-or-break-it for me. If the maint. doesn't solve the log-in and server issues, I'm not turning back.

I agree to a certain extent. The game it self is much better. So much so I want to play it... There in lies the problem. How a game launches in this day and age without an AFK system, login Queue (that works all the time), and with limited servers and capacity is beyond me... I like the game, but if I can't ever play it, well then I won't pay for it for to long. I hope they fix it not band aid patch it.

That is an issue for a lot of people. They limited the focus of the server choices and they stated that once you select it there will be no server transfers... Well, not that people are a week or more into the game very few people want to actually reroll unless their entire friend group/ guild/ free company do as well. Now you are asking for a lot. They need to up the capacity, or better yet not allow people to log in for 4-5 days at a time without logging out so that the others can log in... Or maybe fix the queue system so you dont sit there for hours having to click the darn button over and over just to "try" to get in.... The game is good. When I can play. I have been trying to 2 days to play but can't. ADD A DARN AFK System and nearly all these issues go away. You have PS3 and PC players on the same servers... That is a lot of people. If half of them never log out then how are you to log in?

Since the start of early access on Saturday, August 24th, an enormous amount of users have been logging in to the game. As such, the number of users logging in has been increasing at a rate that is much higher than what we had originally anticipated. To ensure that we maintain a quality level of service for everyone, we have been setting restrictions on both the creation of characters as well as adjusting the number of users that are able to log in. We are well aware that these restrictions are a source of frustration for our users who are waiting to play.

To address this matter, we are currently working on introducing new Worlds and enhancing the performance of the login and match making processes on both the Japanese and North American & European data centers. This operation is expected to be completed at the beginning of next week.

Until this operation is complete, we would like to prioritize the quality of service for those who have already purchased the game. Therefore, we are temporarily suspending the sale of the digital download versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Once the operation has been completed, the sale of the digital download version will resume.

While the operation is in progress, we will continue to apply restrictions on both the creation of characters and the ability to log into the game. Throughout this time, we will be offering constant updates on the progress of the operation.

1) They will set up more server 2) they will improve match making and quene
so that means the current servers will not have any changes in the capacity of how many players allowed to play on it and if they only add few more servers same thing will happen again once those are filled up by people who decided make a back up character in new server in case old ones can't log in. They are not solving the problems from the root but simply add more branches and hope problems will go away by itself. Indeed it will one day with the decline of players the server will be stable.

This game is done if people actually expect and then act on their belief this game will be fixed by Wednesday. Just saying...."doomed".

Honestly they promised us the world with this game. It's sad to see that this game is still very much in construction and needs a lot more work to be done.

GTA 5 is coming out... anyone else??
