yeah, I did that when I uninstalled it before and no luck

Not sure if you were able to fix this yet or not. I had the same problem over the weekend. After 2 failed attempts I Uninstalled and reinstalled but I also unplugged my router and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I am not a "tech" person so not sure if unplugging from my router is what helped or not. But I wanted to make sure I didn't have anything from the previous version involved. It worked the 3rd time. Hope you get it figured out.

Thanks for the help. Its still not working after turning off the router :( its very weird. someone else put up a thread with the same issue and said that by removing some files from the system32 folder made it work, but I tried removing some things that had changed today and it didn't work either.

Just tried everything again and it still isn't working.

I had a similar problem, the problem was my virus scanner. I thought I had disabled it but for some reason something was still running on the background and as soon as I compleetly turned it off I have no problems anymore.

Weird thing is now that I know the problem is I can have my firewall on from my virus program but when I turn on my active virus protection it stops working. Seems weird that a game is not able to work while running virus protection but that it has no problem with a firewall. So if you run any virus protection turn it compleetly off to be able to run this game!
