I contacted Square Enix Customer Support, and their answer makes no sense at all.

The reason they have the upgrade option is for the people that have 1.0 that already had a CD key for their service account by adding a key to yours. You removed their ability to just type the key that you had in service account 2 into the first.

If they have an option to give something at a cost, they also have the option to give something for free. Or in this instance, replace something that was mistakenly used due to awful website design.

WHy the hell do they need like 45 websites anyway.
