Are the black mages the actual warlocks of eorzea?

Ok new update the ixal beastman confirmed again that the void and black magic share a deep bond and because of this bond the void wishes to corrupt us and take us as its own. Since black magic comes from the void this makes sense. (main quest BIG SPOILER) Another thought I had is that some of the ascians might be black mages who were not strong enough to resist the void so they got possessed. Thats why the 45 quest was a test to see if you can prevent the void from trying to claim you hence why they tell the black mage PC to remain strong so you can fight off the void whenever they try and corrupt you.

And yeah the black mage gear comes from the void.

New update I just finished the black mage quest and overall I say its pretty awesome I personally don't want to talk about the events of the last quest since it is that good. Funny thing is they actually never mentioned how the black mages vanished even ququraka touches on this and he does not know the reason either.

I still hold my original theory about the black mages and acians. I might make a seperate topic on my theory after viewing the level 50 summoner quest on youtube saw an interesting detail .
