Petition To Square Enix Regarding Current Service

Quoted- Starting next week new servers for worlds and instances content will go live, with an all worlds maintenance on Wednesday JPN time. This /should/ alleviate the stress from the servers and ease or eliminate the log in restrictions you're facing. At the moment FFXIV is at its playable capacity for connections, to ensure that the people who ARE connected remain online and experience a smooth experience the restrictions will stay until the above mentioned has completed

So basically all the current RMT and botters are able to play whilest we wait and watch the game go under Q_Q

I don't feel that was the case on the Excalibur and Gilgamesh world, but sure if you think so.
Regardless of who it is logged in, they want to make sure that they can at least play, instead of just letting everyone throw themselves in so that the game comes to a stand-still meaning no-one can play.

We'll just have to be patient.

I'm sure there are some RMT's and 'Botters' but not that many.

Regardless of who, I actually think its a good thing that they're restricting it so that the people who are actually online can play the game smoothly.
I know if I were logged in i'd like to be able to at least play the game, these restrictions do that.

We'll just have to be patient ;--; Very....very....patient.

My biggest issue with this game is that I had to create a character on malboro when for weeks in advance i planned to join behemoth to play with my friend. I do hope others who suffered this get a free server transfer.

In my HONEST opinion I have to apologize in advanced but A letter from the Director just saying that he is sorry 3 times for his mis-judgement (regarding the sales) in my eyes doesn't cut it for me, Again that is me, He mis-judged the scope of the game and the early signs would of been the amount of pre-orders we had, there were 140,000 Early access players this should have been a massive indicator to show the games popularity and should have taken preemptive steps to cater for this.

Actually, there were 700,000 Beta applicants alone, which Yoshi very proudly & emphatically announced. That alone should have turned a light bulb on in someone's head.

I understand the point of view of limiting logins so that people in the game have a smooth playing experience. But, you've trained the dog, so to speak, that logging out is a bad idea. Implementing an afk logger should have been done as soon as you realized you didn't have enough capacity to handle the demand. That's a no brainer!

As far as the compensation thing is concerned, only replacing that which is lost is not compensation that is replacement.

Definition: Something, such as money, given or received as payment or reparation, as for a service or loss.

Money is not expected obviously, but you'll have to do a damn site better than simply replacing what was lost if you want to square (pun intended) up with your customers. This has been an absolutely ridiculous launch. I would be ashamed and probably fearful for my job if I was in charge of this.

1.) Imho the texture resolution on gear is just plain awful. I remember the gear looking much better in v1.0 (obviously I'm talking the PC version here). I'm ok with the amount of graphical fidelity of the environments and the characters themselves, but ... well, already said it.

2.) I would like to see a HiRes Texture Pack asap! I mean, it's not like my rig is a bloody PS3, is it?

3.) Other than that I think the game lost much of it's unique feel but still you guys have done a pretty good job of making it a competitor to other (mainstream) MMOs.

BUT what in the seven hells have you done with the gathering jobs? Where is the minigames? 99 units of X just for one quest? WTF? Srsly?
(only tried miner so far...)
