Exactly. Why not institute a real-time queue? Instead of making us spam entry. And I don't mean the queue that they have in place right now because that is a very limited queue.

Will just have to wait and see if they allow transfers. SE seems to be trying to do right by the players and so Im hoping they will allow free transfers to those that have been affected. Only SE knows the next step in their plan.

While normally I wouldn't find this post hilarious, I did indeed in fact find this one to be. Mostly because in a button mashing rage you decided to follow up with the exclamation marks, and plenty of them, to give further meaning to your rage followed by the expression your character seems to be giving.

Why logout to a login server that is down, and even if i's not it only has a 200 person (ish) queue, so you probably won't get into it. This is not a player problem this is a square problem. All I can say is, they better offer free server transfers or their problems are FAR from over.

I'm a longtime FFXI player and I remember server expansion. Squeenix offered free server transfers, and there were plenty of volunteers to migrate over even though the game had been out a couple of years. I'm concerned about how they're going to control it. FFXI's expansion was preannounced and you could apply. SE needs to do this in a matter of a couple of days. There's also FCs. People are going to want to migrate whole FCs. With FFXI the LS leader simply got a fresh new LS to start new. There's too much progress involved with a Free Company to transfer and have to begin from scratch.

What I do is log in, attempt to go straight through, if I don't reach queue, I stay in character screen for a undetermined amount of time (once in a while when it suits my fancy) and then I usually get inside queue inside a half hour to an hour this way.

People who are spamming character attempts I think are actually harming their efforts.

awe ya i have to say that ive tried that and i just get a server connection error sooo idk what your doing but please explain better. oh and it acts like its going to log in after sitting in character screen but only disconnects me.

My main menu has a non-clickable start button?
