I don't agree with you Jinx, I think people have the right to express their opinion. And I also think it is a good thing the this ¨feedback¨ reaches SE.

People tend to misunderstand the meaning of the word "entitled" these days. To be entitled is to have a right or claim to something. See, when you pay money for a product, you actually are, in fact, entitled to get the product you were promised. You are paying money for that entitlement. So yes, people are quite justified in feeling entitlement in this situation. They paid to have a product that was usable to them on the 27'th, and through fault of the company from which said product was purchased, that's not what they're getting, plain and simple.
Complaints help a business to know when they've upset their customers. The number, and general ire of the complaints allows a company to gauge the severity of their mistake, that they may prioritize major issues over lesser ones. As a paying customer, one is entitled (there's that word again) to let the company know whether or not they're happy with their product. A company that cannot put out a quality product at a price the consumer is willing to pay must either adapt their product or forfeit business. This is Capitalism 101.
Nothing improves by consumers bending over and taking it whenever things go wrong. Such people (not saying you specifically) are often referred to as "sheep", as they allow said businesses to drive them, instead of the consumer driving business. That's how the capitalist system gets broken, corporations get out of control, yadda yadda yadda...the point is, apathy never solves anything.
I just wanna say, its the first week and there are way too many people for the game xD players are world-wide, so there are bound to be issues. People will try to hack the game, people leaving their characters logged in over night, etc.etc. SE doesn't want this project to fail, especially with all of the developmental capitol they are throwing at this, so if you are still crying about not getting to play, a lot of people haven't played that want to. So just wait a week and see how it goes.
Yawn. Yeah I've been able to play sparingly, but I have received 1017 errors for hours each day along with all the other ones including game crashes. Does it suck? Absolutely. Am I threatening a full refund? No. It's called perspective. Any MMO veteran knows this (I know it sounds crazy but it's true) launch has been smoother than most (and I mean across the whole population of players). So yeah. It'll be fixed.
I agree with the money back. Somehow I wound up with two accounts on my PS3 which leaves me with one active account with no characters nor my preorder items and one inactive account with all my stuff that can't be logged into nor reactivated. There doesn't even seem to be options to end service yourself. All this because I shouldn'thave said "Yes, I already have a Square Enix account" before scrolling down. How I would know to scroll down on my big ole TV and that dark PS3 scroll bar is anyones guess too.
Also annoying is how quickly all the servers got locked out of new characters. Some of my friends got the game on launch day and thus can't start on the same server as myself. Also, their servers filled so fast, that I can't move to there. Not that I can do anything, given my first problem.
I addressed Square in every way possible short of writing a physical peter and going there. Filling out the special form for my issue is suppose to be addressed in a bout two weeks (so much for the utility of 3-Day early access). The phone is always busy. Live chat takes two hours of being in a queue before you're up, in which it tells you there're no representatives available and cancels your status (tried it 3 times yesterday, all with the same result and approx. 2.5 hour wait times each).
I received an email from them today ayer I told them if they can't fix it, refund me and cancel all services. Their response says my email has been received and they'll get back to me in two business days. (4-5 days from when I sent it).
I think most of the problem stems from Square thinking this game wouldn't garner any sales, so wouldn't need many servers of quality. The issue I and many PS3 owners are having is a failure to design a sensible UI for the code registration.
Thing is , they wanted a causal game, and there sign up system ,It became hardcore sign up and broken system to get into the game. And if you went to a store and they treated you like this would you come back? even if there was a sell Or only the special few were allowed through the door?. Some will others will not. Then at some point. There will be a deal that will be to good to resists. but how many years or days. And yet will come back ?

oh dear not everything got explained to why there are issues wow, the producer didnt go out of his way to explain things, well i for one am overly enjoying this game and well one less or a hundred less or even 1000 less people suddenly going back to WoW as they cant log in here wont be missed, infact please go, go right now it allows for people who actually suppoort SE to get in game.
I totally understand what you're saying, but to constantly complain after the company has already addressed the issues is kind of ridiculous. The producer apologized, took full responsibility for what is happening and will provide compensation soon. What else do you want them to do?
There really nothing wrong with the game except server problems, it a very good game and many other think so too. Server problems and bad gameplay are two different things.
