Egg Hunt

is it me or i think this event sucks.

If you think it sucks because it's difficult
I'm getting kind of sick of the binary between people who want there to be a lot of hand holding and people who want there to be no hand holding. Seriously, both sides, and I'm going to break my civility rule here: Shut the fuck up, already.

If you think it sucks because of the theme
However, if you think it sucks based on the theme and items, that's just Easter really: Easter (pagan easter, not the Jesus one) is about fertility and the rebirth of nature after the death of winter - eggs, rabbits, and chocolate. So - what else do you do but an egg hunt?

If you think it sucks because of the items
If the items are what you dislike, though, that's just the way the cookie crumbles I guess. Personally, I do love me some goofy items - I bet people would love them a lot more if they had an Event Item Storage NPC however...

If it's anything other than that, you are putting waaaay too much thought into something you would be better off just ignoring... I'd recommend that.

hmm, i just noticed that here: http://www.ffxivpro.com/search/item/?update=2011-04-14 it shows that the different egg caps go up in level, so im guessing you have to be the same level or higher to get the quest for each cap.

I don't think so. I've accepted the quest now as a R42 fisher and I still only got the pristine cap. I am trying it again though, I noticed once you've handed it in the !'s stay. Keep going I guess.

Easter Event: I just got my first helm. I have some thoughts of how to get the others. Please respond if you can confirm.

(1) Wearing the Pristine Egg Cap while in a party will yeild 2 eggs. (Something similar was in FFXIV Easter Event)

(2) Having 4 Earth Eggs in your inventory in Ul'dah will yeild the Ul'dah cap

(3) Having 4 Water Eggs in your inventory in Limsa will yeild the Limsa cap

(4) Having 4 Lightning Eggs in your inventory in Gridania will yeild the Gridania cap

I imagine you might also have to have the Pristine Cap on when talking to the npc's in towns for the upgraded hats but also unsure of this.

there is a big with the event tied to anima regen (idk if it was fixed... I didn't know if it was tied to the event so i made a seperate thread. But its also on the lodestone. Too

Just trying to help, good luck in the event.

PS events should be easy its not like its endgame content, its gone after a week or 2 and everyone should get the items.

Got my white egg cap, going to wait til I can get another to see if anything changes.

The only thing is Gracious, the other caps require other base Archon eggs that we don't have access to. Also there exist archon eggs for all elements.

Have you tested this? And if you have to have the base archon eggs again, will it be added to inventory random again? This event has me very confused. Thanks for your input. I'm back to square one I think ; ;
