Dragoon Thread, help discussions and more.

Nice info. I just unlocked Dragoon this evening, so all the help I can get is useful.

I've been playing Lancer for quite a while now and I was told leather was their armor.
Now I've been getting mail reward and I was like eeeeeeh.... what? Since I lvled my Lw but now able to get mail gear, it kind of becomes useless since mail gear comes from armorsmith right?
Also what is the correct secondary stat prior : accuracy >> skill speed >> determination >> crit
Next to that does Dex do anything for our ranged attacks?

STR > Critical Chance > Determination > VIT > Skill Speed > DEX

Actually, Ambacht, the "Scalemail" armors are the iconic Lancer armor. They for on tanks AND LANCER, they're like a midway between leather and plate, higher defenses and good DD stats, Scalemail is the sort of armor you want to aim for as a Lancer. Also they are the most badass-looking armor in the game

Yeah I did the same thing, but just like normal classes. DoH get skills that you can use with other DoH and the one from LW is amazing. I still don't know if Armorer will have the best damage gear for a Lancer but I'm leveling it up atm.

So Armorsmith makes most of the higher level lancer gear for instance the iLvl70 Darksteel Haubergeon, Coif, Sollerets, Mitt Gauntlets. Don't fret about leaving leatherworker it will come in handy for armoring and you can make some solid dragoon pieces like the militia set.

In terms of stat priority, I think its a little to early to tell. However when i'm looking for gear I focus on. Strength > Crit Rate > Determination > Accuracy> Skill Speed.

The way i setup my hotbar and combos i make the most out of my down time in between GCD. I try to always alternate when I can. Ppower Surge > Heavy Thrust > Jump > True thrust > Blood for Blood > Vorpal Thrust > Life Surge > Full thrust. Make the most out of my time anyway.

Also a fair warning i was running Wander's palace and the Sipha set; which has some solid dragoon stats but dragoon is unable to need on it :(!! So i try to ask my fellow dungeon runners for a fair shot at it.

Just curious - I don't see anyone mentioning using the archer cross skill, straight shot (10% crit buff for 20 secs) in their rotation? I think that skill is a must have for dragoons.

unfortunately it cant be used by dragoons. only pug/mara abilities

Unfortunately, DRG can't draw skills from archer. Use Internal Release from pugilist instead.

Just want to say thanks for posting this, helped a lot. Not 50 yet, but 47 so I just messed with rotations.
