Idea to fix the lack of tanks in the duty finder

I'm playing a healer for the first time... I generally play tanks. I find that duty finder generally finds me a party within a very few minutes.

I don't find healing dull, but I have to confess that I mostly just watch the health gagues from my party, and rarely look at where we are or what we're doing!

I really love tanking in duty finder... sometimes. Most of the time people don't listen, don't follow marked mobs and just think they can solo the dungeon (healers included!). I understand why people wouldn't want to tank and heal in duty finder and the reason a lot of people prefer to DPS is simply there is no responsibility involved unlike tanking and healing. The tank however has to bear the whole responsibility whether or not the healers not healing or the DPS are attacking random mobs and pulling, it all comes back to the tank unfortunately. That's what puts a lot of people off.

Tanking the higher level dungeons with your Carbuncle is a terrible idea.

And anyway, the way I see it: The queue time for a damage dealing in the Duty Finder is time that can be used leveling a Crafting or Gathering discipline.

Short of making every dungeon require 6 DPS, not much is going to shorten queues.

I think honestly the lack of tanks is because the game is new and people aren't comfortable with leading a dungeon they know little about. Once the dungeons are fully documented and tanking methods are put out, people will come around to the tanking side of things. That's my two cents, but I believe it to be true. People tend to roll DPS first, get a tank as an alt and fall in love later on.

If i have a Party with 4 People, lets say a Archer,Arcanist and 2 Pugilist.
Can i go in a Dungon? or do i really need a healer,tank and 2 dds?

I enjoy tanking, but it's hardly difficult for an established player to find a healer and 2 DDs and run 90% of the instances in this game without resorting to the randomness of DF. If they want to reduce the waiting time for a tank to join? Introduce more 8-player raids, you need only half as many tanks per DD.
