This has got to be the absolute WORST launch I have ever sat through, and I have been in many a launch. Literally can't play, I don't see a single dev poster addressing our concerns, and look, I'm wasting my free 30 days unable to play with my friends. Hell, I can't even log into the FORUMS on my own character, because it refuses to allow me to select a main character, and am forced to use my husband's instead. EPIC FAIL Square. You have had over a year to get ready for this particular launch, and you have had, what, 3 years since the original 14 launch to learn from this?

I do hope you plan to compensate those of us who can't even enjoy this game we BOUGHT AND PAID FOR with extra free subscription time to make up for what we're wasting now (on a holiday weekend no less!), and free server transfers once you figure out how the heck to run a server.

And oh yeah, you're stopping digital download of the game too? What, are your digital download servers the same as your play servers? Because, if that's the case, then you're failing in ways I can't even possibly imagine.

You know, I understand your point, though it is smart assed..
If they would pay me, I go and at the very least suggest, A plan of action for a real Fix, Communicate with the people letting them know what had to be done.. Take is down, put plan in place then let people know to try again now..

Allow the Game to continue to run, with a vast amount of players not able to log in,, No servers to go to as an option.. That is not a fix.. While maddening,, I believe people would respond to honest information with a true plan, owning up to the issue..
I do not find that with Square Enix at the point in time.. I am not bashing them, just asking them, cause this only the quickest few can get in, is not customer service..

Well, actually, they have all of the players who bought and played 1.0. There was no way for them to know how many of those would return, since they didn't charge them to play for the first two weeks of release. So that's an unknown number, and I honestly think it's those free players (myself included) who borked the system, as they turned out to be the silent majority.

I mean, how many times has a company completely shut its game down and re-released it a year later, ESPECIALLY without a wipe. None that I can think of.

Well, when you can get in, the game/servers are nearly bug free and smooth as a baby's bottom. And just because you are not able to log in doesn't mean "most" can't play. They're at absolute maximum capacity, so most "can" play. It's just the vocal majority who comes to the forums because they can't log in.
