I am also running win7 64 bit with comparable specs, but i have not encountered that issue with my current machine. The random closing with no error message reminds me of an issue i had in the past with one of my boxes, it turned out the cause was the CPU was overheating because the inside of my box got a significant layer of dust in it and was interfering with airflow(stupid dusty dorm rooms).Quote:

FFXIV is heavy on CPU/GPU load, might want to check temperature of your CPU/GPU.
I had a couple of crashes too but only when alt-tabbing while waiting in duty finder. FFXIV.exe stopped working when reopening the game.

Mine only crashes when I try to switch my gamepad from wireless to wired, everything else is smooth.

No crashes except occasionally when i tab out and tab back in. But sometimes that just happens in any game. Dont think its FFXIV related.
320.49 should be alright from what I remember.. starting with phase 3 earlier NV drivers made the game lock-up frequently along with crashing the driver (on windows 8 FF would still run after it recovered, win 7 may not have that and the game itself flatout crashes).
Running the current beta driver (326.80) on Win 8 pro 64-bit and haven't seen any issues myself.
This happened to me too. Turns out mine was a memory issue. Pull out one of your RAM sticks and boot up, play until you get an error, then put it back in and try another until you find the stick that was faulty. I'm only running on 12 gigs now, but it's still more than I need, and I've run without issue.
