I think summoners can be done maybe not in the usual way but if they keep the point system it could have to do with what element you focus in that would be cool. Even if they add thing's from the mana series instead of Ifrit and such.

Vikings should be implemented through the Job System not the Armoury System.

In XI though they had their skills divided up amongst War and Dark.
