How do you check how much hours you played?
...umadbro? can't play huh...I feel so sorry for you.
Since starting yesterday I've played roughly for 16 hours. I was put in a queue once for about a minute before being let in. At peak time today it took about 10 minutes of trying to log in and getting world full, but I did get in.
I have to a certain extent being lucky, but it's also due in part to choosing to re-roll on another server.
Log-on restrictions are not the same as limits on player creation. It basically you have a limits on the total of players on server then restrictions on those logging-online simultaneously. You and me are different people. If I make a similar choice equals sacrificing myself for the master as a slave. I didn't get this game for free. I not being given anything.
Its like the AFKers. AFKer problem only exits because of regulations imposed & enforced by SE. I am not trying to suggest that you should like what Larry Flynt (insert SE) does. I don't like what Larry Flynt (SE imagine) does, but what I do like is the fact that I live in a country where you and I can make that decision for ourselves. I like the fact that I live in a country where I can pick up Hustler magazine (ff14 ARR) and read it (play it), or throw it in the garbage can if that's where I think it belongs(whine, complain etc).

It's ok, we all have in some way registered for game time. Be it, the 30 days that comes with the game, or via the mog station. In the end we lose a day or more because we cannot log in, wasting not only the time we could be playing, but any days we technically paid for. First 30 days are free, but afterwards, I think some, can not speak for all may just up and take their $$$ else where. Maybe in a week, maybe in 2 weeks, there wont be any login restrictions. Dont quote me on that. I dont know the future, all I see is the past, and whats going on currently in the present. We are all, or some, are a bit on edge as we paid for a product, and are wanting to play, but feel that we are being given the short in of the moogle staff.
TL'DR :: SE got your money, here's your 1017. Thank you

Full explanation, if your server has reached its maximum for total population, example total say of 10,000 players. Wait times here can be much more frustrating to create a new character because you must wait until people delete their toon to free up space, which can be forever looking at you Gilgamesh, Leviathan, Moogle servers.
Then if you cant log-online, its because out of those 10,000 players, 8 thousands odd players are playing simultaneously, so you must wait till some of them log off the server so you can log in. These waits can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours.
