2.1 made it way easier than it was in 2.0.
I remember running in circles to regen some hp and throwing tomahawks in hope to trigger 2nd phase.. now with debuffs it's easier to stand in one poin and only care about AoEs :p

Just did this last night in one try. Only part that was hard was when he fully buffed himself and is hitting extremely hard for a short period. Just kited him till the buffs wore off. Not sure if I needed to but figured better safe than sorry. I don't know if they reduced the difficulty but I didn't feel it was too hard.
I remember doing this quest at launch. WAR was my first 50, I was in full AF with the level 44 GC axe, and this was about 2 weeks into 2.0 when WAR was much weaker than it is now. That quest posed a real challenge for me back then, but I still beat it on the 3rd try. Yes, I clicked off the Echo buff each time I tried.
