It can be confusing when looking at threads like this that caters to a global fan base.
I get the impression that everyone that has their's "in the mail" are in the US. Amazon UK work a little differently. Not only do games over here normally launch on a Friday (I suspect this launch caught them on the hop), but today is a Bank Holiday in the UK. I am in Ireland, and my CE is only at the "Dispatching Now" stage. Irish customers have no choice but do order from Amazon UK. We can't get "launch day delivery" and the free delivery we do get takes a week. I won't get my CE until next Monday if I'm lucky (maybe this Friday if I am very lucky).
So when people are expressing concern about Amazon, could you mention what country you are ordering from. The advice you will get from different countries will be very different.
Gamestop Ireland tend to be very good at "launch day" deliveries, but they couldn't guarantee an early-access/ extra items code for PS3 copies.
