The PS3 Display Problem

I have this problem too. Mostly affects item on the bottom of the screen. If COD can do it... you can do it!!1 :-)

Get into your cross-bar and bring up your actions list. Highlight some of them and try to read their descriptions. You will then realize it is all edges that are cropped. Even after moving and re-sizing the HUD.

It must be only certain TV's that cause this issue. I"m on a 55" samsung and I have no issues seeing the entire screen.

Maybe. There was another poster on another thread that said he was using a Samsung and still had the same problem. In any case, this still needs to be addressed. Can't have some players that are fine and others that are not.

Agreed, a display adjustment option to scale it appropriately would be nice.

It definitely sounds like a hardware problem.

A display adjustment option is definitely a must-have in this situation. Sadly, it comes with the knowledge that you likely won't see the resolution of the game you're intending to see.

Try this;
Go into your TV's Menu.
Enter the Picture Menu.
Most Vizio models have a resolution option in there.

If you don't, then I guess not much can be done to fiddle with it, but it's worth a try to see if you can manage any progress.

Nothing on my Vizio, I would have definitely found it by now. This should be a simple fix on SE's end. I have no problem waiting for the fix, as long as they can acknowledge that this is indeed an issue and a fix will be coming soon.

I would love to see an acknowledgement as well. I'm very understanding of how busy every dev. is at the moment. I would just like a simple "we are aware of the issue and we plan on addressing it as soon as possible". I can wait for the fix. I just want to get make sure they know there is a problem.

Any word on a fix yet, anyone?

I also am having this problem. I've rearranged the UI, but it's very obvious even from the title screen that prt of the game screen is missing. It's like the game is zoomed in. Every other ps3 game I have has worked perfectly fine with my hdmi setup going into my tv and settings on 1080p from ps3 output. Even on the character creation and selection screen, the exit button on the bottom left is partially obscured. It's very annoying and gives the game a totally unpolished feel. I have no idea how something like this could make it into a final release. I noticed it the first time I played the game (and was not able to log on to a server, I might add...).
