Thank you for this post. I was seriously going crazy. Had gone through over 250 bait before i got fed up and looked it up...

As a random point of interest, this typo of south (instead of east) seems to have just been a mistranslation from the Japanese text.
ウ・ゴロムリ : そして釣り場は……この「サゴリー砂漠」の南端、サゴリー砂丘ってところに釣り場がある。そこに釣り糸を垂らしてみるんだ。
The NPC makes reference to the Sagolli Dunes fishing hole location, in the southern portion of the Sagolli Desert, which is basically correct but is vague on which side of the zone (or middle) this fishing hole could be. It's puzzling why this was translated to English with a specific landmark reference (Byregot's Strike) with an incorrect direction from this landmark.
