World Congestion - Bring in Autodisconnect for AFK players

Lots of problems with this:

- these people paid to play the game just like everyone else
- who decides what AFK means? maybe someone went up to check their kids and got tied up for a half hour making lunch and then they come back down and they are logged off and can't get back in.
- would this be implemented forever or just for a certain time period - how is this decided?
- some people like to be AFK and see what's happening in their LS/FC while they are gone.

It sounds reasonable from the perspective of someone who is stuck in a queue and can't get in but from the perspective of the person who went AFK for who knows what reason, its a pretty rude request. Lots of times I intend to go afk for just 5-10 minutes and get caught up with all sorts of RL stuff 'upstairs'. If I came back down after 45 min to find my character logged off due to some afk timer and couldn't get back in, I would be pretty pissed.

All the people who logged in at 5am just got kicked for maint so it really doesn't matter at this point.

Maybe a bit longer than that ~laughs~ Sometimes I like to cuddle up on the couch with my dinner and listen to the chatter and zone music. Maybe 30-40 minutes?

You can still do things while being queued. If you're not sitting in front of your PC/PS3, that's inactivity, I'm sorry.

Not to put anyone who's having problems down, but please remember this is the EA and launch of a new MMO. MMO servers are never designed to use all their players at once. Normally players would be staggered and far fewer of them logged in at any given time. THAT is the load servers are designed to handle. It will get better a week or two into launch.

Great idea!! Half an hour is a very reasonable time limit!

If u need 20 mins or more..u either needs a cpl pills or stop shaking it so much :p

The time should be an hour I'd say. That is a good amount of time. But they probably won't do that and will argue that everyone paid for the game so it's first come first serve and they can do whatever they want with their character as long as it doesn't break the rules.

I think 1 hour incase someone popped to shops or to get kfc. I don't like link shells who stand together all night afk and after one hour they should be disconnected

I understand the arguments being made that everyone paid for the game, but you have to have some common courtesy. If you were unable to log in, and came back to see loads of characters afk for an hour or longer each, wouldn't you feel outraged at the people afk'ing? Empathy and common courtesy.

I agree that somewhere around an hour or longer is reasonable. Only exception would be if you are actually queued in Duty Finder.

Means nothing, the server congestion is happening with the instance servers, it would have no impact at all
