It's really quite simple.
They don't want people streaming a game that other's can't access yet. It would just cause more confusion.
"Oh hey, look at this cool game I'm gonna go buy it right now! Wait, I can't play it till the 27th???"
Not allowing streams for the whopping 3 days of EA, is NOT a big deal at all.

You can stream after launch. People can still buy the game after launch. Not seeing the problem here.

Guess sometimes EA just isn't good enough. (Shrugs)

Collectors Editions sold out instantly in Japan - they'll do just fine. The period that should concern you is post launch to see if they retain players, not the fact they don't allow streaming in a beta or early access, that hurts nothing as there were 1.x million interested in the beta and even if a fraction of that stays they'll be able to retain it like they did with XI for numerous years.

Well, in beta, it makes sense. When you beta test any game, you're usually not allowed to record anything, or even release screenshots. So the fact that SE let people post screenshots is actually pretty generous. As for the advertising, I just watched a video yesterday of a guy that was giving a run down of what ARR is, to try to get more people to play it, and he was using screenshots he took while testing, so I don't think that videos would help any more than screenshots and a little narrative.
But, aside from all the drama of 3102, and error 3, the game seems to be selling itself pretty well.
