Half of the fun of 'claiming' an NM in FFXI was being able to show your groups skill while it was killed. I appreciate instanced dungeons so that we can work with our teams, but I would love to see some world bosses to show the public in real time what we can do. Nothing beat taking on Nidhogg in Dragon's Aery with 150 other people watching. I would love to see this come back to the game.

I remember the first time I was in Jeuno and someone yelled that KB was up... I ran out and watched a really cool fight, and got totally into seeing myself there.

There was a mentiin of the nms being in fate while the item they would have dropped to be in grand company to be bought with seals which isnt s bad idea since they would make some exclusive items, not sure if they put those items in thevgame yet.

I think it'd be nice if FATEs featuring NMs had a chance to drop gear, in addition to the minions that are dropped.

NMs were so annoying lol

I happened to be in area of a FATE which popped in the EAST SHROUD. This was no ordinary FATE .. It was as NM ( HUGE PLANT TYPE / MALBORO )
After FATE ended I earned an achievement called ( Lazy Town ) . This earned me also the following.
You gain 10150 experience points.
You obtain 115 flame seals
You obtain 40 gil
This was a nice surprize as i just ding. Lvl 25

NMs are already in the game, lol, and so are HNMs. You must not have been doing any FATES yet or you'd know this. :p

I do miss the endless hours of NM farming but at the same time the fate system is fun and everyone is able to get in on it but I did not know that u can unlock merch goodies from doing it so now I'm even more excited about them

While I certainly have mixed feelings about world NMs, I would like to see it incorporated into the game. Start off with monsters that drop "common" items with relatively good stats but nothing of the Ridill drop rate, and the corresponding drop rate. Have people interested in say, a certain melee ring, camp the corresponding NM, quickly kill it and move on. This will create interesting NM pre-pop atmosphere, especially at first when introduced, but it won't ever be too congested as say, Aery was. A change of respawn timers is in order too.

I agree for the most part. On the other hand, I hated having a guildie calling me at 3am because a rare spawn appeared in FF11 or Everquest and they needed a tank.
